Enhance Your Videos with CapCut’s Overlay Feature: A Step-by-Step Guide
Adding an overlay to your video can give it a unique and creative touch. In this article, we will be showing you how to use CapCut’s overlay feature to enhance your videos.
Step 1: Open the CapCut Application
Open the CapCut application on your device and press the “New Project” button located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Select a Video or Picture
Choose a video or picture that you want to add an overlay to. In this tutorial, we will be using a video. Press the “Add” button located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Press the Overlay Button
Go back to the bottom left corner of your screen and press the “Overlay” button, located next to the “Effects” button. Press the “Add Overlay” button located in the middle of the screen.

Select an overlay that you want to use. You can find overlays on Tic Tok or YouTube. In this tutorial, we will be using a butterfly overlay. Press the “Add” button located at the bottom right corner of the screen.

If you want to mute the volume, press the volume button located in the middle of the bottom of the screen and turn it to zero.
