Creating a Dynamic Velocity Edit on CapCut PC: A Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Add the video to the track
  2. Go to the part where the subject starts dancing and split the video
  3. Go to the speed settings and change it to 0.5x speed, select smooth slow-mo, and choose Optical flow
  4. Export the video
  5. Delete the original video and import the edited video
  6. Go to the part where the subject starts dancing and split it again
  7. Add in audio, either by importing extra audio or by selecting separate audio from the video
  8. Match cut the beat manually if the auto-matching feature does not work accurately
  9. For each beat, skip a beat and split the video, then add the “Flash in” curve speed effect
  10. For added visual interest, add an overlay of a white background with a Fade Out animation, scaled and set to blend mode “overlay”
  11. Copy and paste this animation throughout the entire video
  12. Adjust the audio and visual elements as desired
